I hate to say it but I actually forgot to take any before photos of the master bathroom before I painted it. This was before I had begun my blog and I wasn’t thinking. So we will just dive right in. As you’ve seen with the second bathroom remodel the colors in here were just not appealing. I had a bath mat I had purchased at Bed, Bath and Beyond before we moved into the RV. It had dark brown, orange and cream in it. I decided since I was using that in my main bathroom I’d use that color scheme for the renovation as well. After looking for quite a long time I finally found the perfect shade of orange for the walls. It’s actually burnt orange. It wasn’t a bright and cheerful choice but after I was done with the walls I was very pleased. I know people say don’t do dark colors in a small space because it makes it feel smaller but I disagree. Although I thought painting the trim cream would just be too much of a contrast. So I decided to go with the dark brown. I actually used spray paint in this room. Let me tell you, which you probably already know, it makes a HUGE mess! I hadn’t taped down the top of the shower so paint got in there and I had to clean really well to remove it. I also had it all over myself. My husband took a hilarious photo right after I was finished but it was on an old phone and didn’t get saved. Awh…too bad. lol…. I then decided the accent pieces in the room would be cream along with the backsplash for the sink. With the backsplash I actually used real tile with grout and all. I didn’t hear about flexible grout until after the project was completed. People like to use that since RV’s shake and rattle so much going down the road. They are worried regular grout will crack after time. So far so good with ours! And there were some bumpy roads on our trip over! THIS is the tile I used for the backsplash. I purchased it at Home Depot. I went there so much in the beginning stages of the renovations the cashiers began to remember me which I thought was funny. I don’t have the name of the color of the paint because I tossed the remaining can before we moved. I got the candle holder, vase and fake flowers at Hobby Lobby. The shelf over the toilet we got at Walmart along with the plastic hanging organizer in the shower. I spray painted the shower organizer to match the rest of the room. I screwed in the shelf and added wicker media baskets, also from Walmart. I had to make this photo from a online stock photo of the sink area. I got cup hooks from Dollar General and screwed them into the wall to hang my necklaces from. I moved this set of hooks that came with the rig originally onto a piece of wood I painted, then screwed it into the wall. This way we had a place to hang our towels. With the wicker baskets I painted them cream and they fit perfectly on the shelf. They hold washcloths and such.
